Besides the GOOD that Yamaha do regarding Ripples For Good - Here is some updated news on Ronan Quarmby

YAMAHA AND QUARMBY WIN NATIONAL SUPERSPORT CHAMPIONSHIP
After a season fraught with challenges ranging from serious injury to race position penalties, Ronan Quarmby wrapped up the 2010 Interfile National Supersport Championship on board his Interfile/tyre in Transit Yamaha R6 after the first race of the final round of the championship series held at Kyalami this past weekend.
Quarmby then went on to win the last race of the season the following Sunday morning with his Yamaha freshly dressed in “number 1” livery, in a befitting end to his dominant season.
Quarmby suffered numerous setbacks in his quest for championship glory, the least of which was the diagnosis of a massive cyst in his femur after a small crash during practise for the South African round of the World Supersport Championship that was held a Kyalami in May. With a doctor’s prognosis that he would be unable to ride for a least a year, Quarmby tackled this challenge with the gusto that befits a champion, and embarked on an intensive recovery programme that included a series of operations and physical training that saw him back on the race track after only missing one round of the championship.
“I am super stoked”, said Quarmby. “A couple of riders put in some great challenges and pushed me to keep improving my riding. I have to say a massive thank you to my sponsors and team. I was on the best 600cc bike and the Yamaha was well supported by my Interfile/Tyres in Transit team of Grant Foley, Colin Swaite and recently Wayne Berrington-Smith. I am looking forward to a break to allow my leg and ankle to recover and prepare for 2011.”
